Palette Hearts #1

A new arrangement of mini palette hearts on cradled wood canvas. Made from my paint palettes and gold leaf. 

Over the years, I've used the heart symbol in many different ways…but I never paint some “perfect” shape. I am much more interested in the hearts that are pieced together from the scraps….the ones with many layers and colors and go outside the lines. For me, this is where the magic lies - both in the art and in real life.
