There is a moment in so many things we love, in creating, in conversation, in life itself, when we stop pushing and simply begin to move with what is happening. Everything softens, and the way forward reveals itself. I wanted this painting to capture that feeling of ease.

This piece taught me to let go as I painted. I began with intention, but the more I tried to guide it, the more it resisted. So I loosened my hold, letting shapes drift and curve, layering paint in long, easy movements and allowing earlier marks to rise back through the surface. A few flecks of gold found their way in, like sunlight glinting on moving water. Once I stopped steering, the painting began to flow on its own.

At this scale, Finding the Flow brings a calm, graceful energy to a study, creative space, or any room where you want to feel inspired and at ease. To me, it is a painting about trust, and about the beauty that unfolds when we release control and allow life to carry us gently forward.
