There is something about voices joined in song that lifts us beyond ourselves. No single voice carries the melody alone, yet together they create something that fills the room and lingers long after the last note fades. I wanted this painting to hold that feeling.

I see these shapes of every color stand shoulder to shoulder across the canvas like a chorus, some bold and grounded, others soft and luminous, with open light above them like the air a song rises into.

As I painted, I let each form find its own voice before bringing it into conversation with the others. I layered, scraped, and painted over, allowing marks from earlier moments to show through the surface. Some shapes stepped forward and others quieted, and slowly the whole canvas began to sing in one unified breath.

Together In Song brings a vibrant, uplifting presence to a space, beautiful above a console in an elegant entry or in a sunlit study where its energy can inspire the day. To me, it is a painting about the joy of belonging, and about the music we make when we lift our voices together.
